She may not know it — she might have headphones on or be fiddling with her phone — but we, the viewers, see her stalker appear. He — burly and indistinct, maybe wearing a ski mask or hoodie — slinks out from behind a tree or a parked car and creeps up behind her, weapon in hand. She might notice him just in time for a cut-off scream, or the scene might just fade to black. In film, we see sexual assault coming from miles or minutes away. In all reality, the very core of your survival will hinge upon possessing a viable supply of gasoline when needed. The bad part of this scenario is that gasoline does not normally store well for an extended period of time. This year I have been signing up my thirteen-year-old grandson for various hunter safety courses with the state of Delaware. The age that is best for your children will better be determined by you since only you know how mature your children are and if they are ready for weapons use. Children who are deemed old enough to handle a firearm responsibly should not only receive training in the safe use of the weapon but also in how to behave properly at a shooting range. Things like fish, shrimp, lobster, I don't stock up too much on the freezer part, but I do on dehydrated. Dehydrated foods properly stored will last up to 30 years. Can goods from the grocery store can last up to 20 years, yes I know about the dates, but that's what they say. If you see rust or a bulge you'll know to throw it away. With any extra money as income tax or stimulus check, I will stock up. Pasta and rice is a good storage food. Properly stored it will last for years. It doesn't take allot of money or time when you are interested in long time storage. A case of 6 # 10 cans of pasta sealed for long term storage cost us about 16.00.. Until you open that can you got it for 30 years. I always keep at least 3 years food in my food storage. There is really no reason why you can't maintain at least a years food for your family, 20.00 a week you wont miss. Dunkin donuts wont be there when you lose your job and need food for the kids. Be selfish for your family. Now its time for me to buy 50 lbs of ground beef and dehydrate it so I never run out.. Happy canning and dehydrating. Gee people, does that sound a lot like survivalist and preppers? Perhaps we are the next group of people to be persecuted. As we approach this subject, we must remember that the original goal of the Puritans as they flocked to the New World was to establish a location where they could readily worship as they pleased. These are people who left the Church of England in pursuit of better religious guarantees. King James I was determined to rid his country of the puritans even to the extent of instilling the death penalty for them.
